About
One thing quickly became evident after I started to study Japanese in 2005: to master this monstrous language you need to follow the path of darkness. That is, you need to totally torture yourself with Japanese till it corrupts your very mind. Only after emerging from the pain and anguish will you attain a glimpse of comprehension.
I am but an apprentice, and would be honored for any companion traveling this long path. On this parchment I will chronicle my rituals for others to observe. O dark masters, please correct my path if I ever start to sway. Disbelievers, you will vividly see that darkness is the only way. Beginners, I shall ensnare you with the dark fundamentals.
For those insisting on a real identity, you shall have it. I am born infant as Agro Rachmatullah in the land named Indonesia. A Computer Science graduate of Gadjah Mada University (UGM), I currently blog on various topics.
May your study here be rewarding! You can regard this page as a guestbook and leave comments here. Talks not fit for the others to see should be delivered by hand to agro1986 <[at]> gmail.com.
About the name
Aguro is obviously derived from my real name Agro. It is written 愛黒 in kanji with the first character meaning “love” and the second character meaning “black” or “dark”. So to put simply, it means fondness of the dark path.

So, you’re Indonesian too. Glad to know other Indonesian who fascinates Japanese, especially Kanji. I’m from UGM too. i graduated from medical faculty few month ago, now still working on sarjito. I also started learning Japanese “the dark way” on 2005. It all began when i unintentionally found this Tae Kim file on my friend’s pendrive. Then it hit me. Now, i’m on a quarter way through Heisigh RTK and a constant member of RevTK site and Katzumoto’s AJATT. I think the best thing about japanese language is nothing else than the infamous Kanji. Mastering Kanji is itself a priceless pride, so much that I’m striving so hard to master them all. You of all people must understand that.

Nice to know you!
I think we have a lot in common. I also use Tae Kim’s guide and regularly visit Khatzumoto’s site. Kanji is a never-ending journey, and I’m very happy to know someone else also finding joy in mastering it :).

man, you really are something. I didn’t know you are the person behind indonesian version of Tae Kim’s guide. I did plan to make just the same thing, but it seems you got there first. I guess i’ll just make my own version on my new blog then. But, if you ever need a hand to complete the task, I’be more than happy to participate (I did work as part time translator in my collage days). You got my email address, right?
